Digital X-Rays and Foot Care

The digital x-ray system at Ankle & Foot Associates, the Fuji FCR XL-2, is capable of producing high resolution (50 micron) scans, making it ideal for foot and ankle applications where seeing fine detail is critical.

Advantages of digital x-rays include time efficiency through bypassing chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Also, less radiation is used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography.

Environmentally, this state-of-the-art digital x-ray system avoids sending corrosive chemicals into the Great Lakes Watershed.

If copies of your  digital x-ray images are requested by a Munson Medical Center Radiologist, or if another specialist needs to view the images we have, they are easily copied onto a CD and made available for the seamless continuity of your care at the medical facility of your choice.

We store your images both onsite and offsite, as is required by the FDA. This is done daily, securely, and can be accessed with our computers that are in every patient treatment room.
